How do you register?
Call us old fashioned but we enjoy in person registration as we believe it works best for our business! We love to meet the families and be able to answer all of their questions in person to ensure they have all the info they need before registering.
Please pop in to register during a listed registration time if possible. You can also just pop in for a visit and gather info, there is no pressure to register for any classes at any time. Just come for a chat and some info if needed!
You can email in your filled out registration form if needed to capelladanceacademy@hotmail.com . Please note that it will be processed slower as well as returning emails will be slower through the summer months.
Season 24 at Capella Dance Academy begins Monday, September 9, 2024.
Registration is open from June 15, 2024 until October 1, 2024.
All classes are held once a week. All registered dancers are guaranteed 30 classes pro-rated over the 10 month dance season. This ensures that even with the variation in the number of classes each month, the overall commitment of 30 classes is maintained.

$240 – 1 Dancer
$400 – 2 Dancers (Siblings Only)
$500 – 3 Dancers (Siblings Only)
Tuition
Fees are payed monthly.
Registration Fee:
$40 per dancer
$60 per family
Monthly Class Fee:
$45 – 1 Hour Class
$60 – 1.5 Hour Class
$40 – Kinder Dance (45 min.)
In Person Registration Times
During July and August, we will be open for registration every Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm.
Payment Options
Fees are to be paid in full by September 30, 2024 in 10 post dated cheques, by e-transfer or cash. Fees can also be paid quarterly (4 months, 3 months and 3 months).
Overdue Payments: If payments are 30 days overdue a 10% interest will be charged, 60 days overdue a 20% interest will be charged. 90 days overdue will result in the termination of the dancer’s classes and 30% charged on unpaid fees.
Payment Breakdown:
Class fees are pro-rated over 10 months. Some months will have more classes than others. This does not affect monthly totals. 30 classes are guaranteed in the dance year. A majority of classes will receive 33-35 classes. There will be NO dance classes held over Winter Break, Spring Break or on Stat Holidays unless otherwise notified.
Cheque
Please date these cheques for the first of every
month. Cheques are to be made payable to
Capella Dance Academy. There will be
a $20.00 charge for all NSF cheques.
E-transfer
Please set e-transfers as an automated
payment for each month and make sure the
name of your dancer is in the memo.
Cash
Monthly cash payments will NOT be accepted. If cash payments are necessary,a minimum of 3 months at a time are required.
Costumes
Recreational: $25 to $100
Competitive: $100 to $200
Company: $100 to $200
All pricing is subject to change without notice prior to the beginning of the dance season.
Capella’s Rights
Capella Dance Academy reserves the right to terminate registration due to poor attendance/attitude.
Registering with Capella Dance Academy is a 10 month commitment. If a dancer chooses to no longer attend classes after January 1, 2025, they must have a doctor’s recommendation or 30% of dance fees for the remaining months must be paid in full.
Voluntary termination of classes must be submitted in written form with 30 days notice.
Capella’s Rules
All dancers will be placed in classes that the instructors see fit. You will be contacted with class confirmation and the schedule created for your dancer over the summer months.
Age is a guideline for class placement and is then based on experience. If a dancer is brand new to dance and over the age of 8, it will be recommended that they take at least one year of a recreational class or Ballet to get their basis before entering a competition class.
All Regular Competition dancers must take either Ballet or a Tech class. All competitive Acro dancers must also take a regular dance class and an Acro Tech class. This is mandatory.
